Stephan was born and raised in Switzerland and spent more than 20 years working across North America for government, private, and non-profit clients. He has both served as an outside consultant and inside large corporate and small business environments.

He was a member of senior management at a transnational industrial company and member of a change management team in a major restructuring project that involved thousands of employees in factory level, middle and senior management positions.

Burckhardt was CEO, chairman and co-owner of two companies with a combined turnover of $15M, the larger of which he successfully sold to a subsidiary of a leading global consultancy network.

Since moving to BC in 2004, Stephan Burckhardt has advised and coached private sector, non-profit and government clients, and also served on the board of two industry associations. He is a mentor in the BCom and MBA programs at the University of Victoria.

Stephan speaks a number of European languages including French and excelled in two years of Mandarin Chinese study. In addition to his work with The Executive Network, he is the owner of ckdt communications.
