Throughout her career, Sylvia has provided consulting service, support and advice to business executives, managers, and staff regarding people strategies resulting in effective workforce management including: recruitment and selection, orientation, employee relations, change management , employee training, career planning, guidance and dispute resolution, performance management, policy development, collective agreement administration, organizational design, succession planning, and direction on termination and severance. Her principal expertise and passion are in recruitment and selection.

Prior to consulting with the Executive Network, Sylvia was a senior HR Advisor for fifteen years, with BC Buildings Corporation - a provincial Crown Corporation, that was recognized for its best practices in HR. Prior to moving to Vancouver Island, Sylvia was the senior advisor for TELUS (formerly ED TEL).

Throughout her career Sylvia has been commended for her exceptional customer service orientation and relationship building skills. Sylvia believes in life long learning and continues to build on her business Diploma. She is a Certified Human Resources Professional and is a member of the BC Human Resources Management Association.
