Born and educated in Toronto, Walter accepted a transfer to British Columbia while he was employed in sales and marketing with one of the largest and most successful international business machine companies in the world.
He left this employment to complete his university education at the University of British Columbia where he graduated with honours and won two awards one of which was for leadership. He was subsequently offered a position as an executive assistant to a member of the British Columbia cabinet.
Following this he was appointed as the Executive Vice President of a company providing rehabilitation services and re-employment assistance. At this time he qualified for and was awarded a CHRP designation. He also earned his certification as an analyst of workplace behaviour assessments.
Responding to requests from senior executives who were involved in involuntary career transitions Walter became involved in providing professional career transition counseling and executive coaching.
Following the sale of this company to an international HR consulting firm he established an executive search firm which continues to provide executive coaching and other HR services to corporations and individual executives.
In addition to being President of The Executive Network, Inc., Walter is Vice President of Felix Global Corp. on Vancouver Island.
